Internet Explorer Help Options

Having problems with Internet Explorer can be frustrating. Whether the screen freezes, pages are not loading, or you just have slow browsing, troubleshooting problems with IE can be tough. If you need help, though, you have plenty of options to get the support you need. Two of the options below require the use of the Help menu; If you do not see any menus at the top of your browser, right-click under your address bar and select "Menu bar."

Help Menu

The easiest place to get help for your Internet Explorer browser is the integrated Help menu. If you look to the top of your browser, you should see a Help menu right next to the "Tools" menu. Click the Help menu and select "Internet Explorer Help" (you can also press F1 to access this menu). A new window will appear with search-able help topics. Simply type a word or two describing your issue into the "Search" tab, click "List Topics," and then click on the relevant help topics.

Microsoft Support Website

If you can't find a solution to your problem in the help files, you can search on Microsoft's support website for detailed solutions to both common and rare issues. To access Microsoft's online support system, go to the "Help" menu at the top of your browser and select "Online support." You can then search for solutions to your problem or access the "Fix it" utility, which is a download-able support tool that can help you identify technical problems with IE.
